What kinds of blanks are there in the cutting machine?
Jan 03, 2019

Cutting machine blank manufacturing is part of the part production process and is the step from raw material to finished product. The material of the blank is determined by the structure, size, use and conditions of the part. The type of the blank depends mainly on the material, shape and production properties of the cup.

The commonly used blanks are roughly the following.

1. Casting blank:

The shape is complex, the strength requires wood; the blank of the part is suitable for casting. The material of the casting may be cast iron, cast steel or a combination metal. According to the production and precision requirements of the parts, the same casting method can be used.

2. Forging blank:

Forgings with very strong strength requirements are most suitable for forging. The main materials are various carbon steels and alloy steels. The manufacturing method is combined with white forging, tire forging, die forging and precision die forging. In large batches and large-scale production, die forging blanks are generally used. The precision and production rate of such forgings are very high; single-piece and small-batch production is free forging; medium-batch production can be partially used for tire die forgings, and some are used. Die forgings.

3. Rolled blank:

The mill rolling blank includes a variety of cold drawn and hot rolled materials with round, hexagonal, square and various interfacial sections. The various cross-section bars used on automatic lathes are cold steel.

4, the extrusion parts are broken:

Used for some non-ferrous metals and sodium materials with good plastic deformation. Cold extrusion (including cold heading) is widely used to extrude various bolts, nuts, pins, and the like. Cold extrusion (or hot extrusion) is used in certain gears and finish parts for bulk and mass production.
